ci tiene assai a dire "oissa" ma poi non scende dalla macchina
è come un ateo praticante seduto in chiesa la domenica
si mette apposta un po' in disparte per dissentire dalla predica

Lo scrutatore non votante è solo un titolo o un'immagine
per cui sarebbe interessante verificarlo in un'indagine...

Intervistate quel cantante
che non ascolta mai la musica
oltre alla sua in ogni istante
sentiamo come si giustifica

Mi sono preso un pò di tempo per rispondere alla lettera del Rappresentante dei Lettori, voi penserete che io volessi ponderare bene.... invece NO miei cari!!! molto più semplicemente l'altra sera mi è capitato di perdere la prima versione della lettera a causa del sito della Tin mai abbastanza maledetto (con tutto che pago 80 € l'anno di affitto per 3 caselle e-mail), ma che ci vogliamo fare, dopotutto questo è il paese delle libertà (di fare un pò come ca$$o pare a loro)...

Bando alle ciance. ho dedicato il tempo che di solito dedico all'aperitivo domenicale serale a riscrivere la lettera.
Ditemi voi se avrei fatto meglio ad andare a prendere l'aperitivo (io ho paura di sì).
Vi prometto che è l'ultimo post di questo tipo poi si torna alla musica.

I'm very glad to read your e-mail. I appreciated it very much.
I also visited the Winter Olympics section at latimes.com, i think it's very well done, complete and easy to use.

I don't want my opinion to be a cause of friction between Italian and US people.
I think it can just be a starting point that can make easier dialogue between two different cultures.
Italian people could explain better what certain italian usages are for.
On the other side american people could help us to understand them better .
We could demolish certain commonplaces.

LA is a "melting pot" in which people live, coming from any country in the world, many of them from Italy.
I don't think italian people, living in LA, who read Mr.Plaschke's article found it fair.
In the article the description of opening ceremony and its organization was a caricature. It risks to look like a lack of respect.

I published on my blog the letter i sent you and the link to the article.
I received about 50 replies testifying how Mr.Plaschke's article looked so unfair for Italian people.

Mr. Plaschke's point of view shouldn't stop at a glance but should go deeper (e.g. during opening ceremony acrobats formed a dove, symbol of peace, and not an eagle or stereotyped comment about music chosen for athletes' parade).
I hope Mr. Plaschke will visit Italy and not only the Olympic Village, I'm sure he will appreciate my country.

Ho letto il post della Missy_ sull'articolo del Los Angeles Times.
Poi mi sono letto l'articolo originale.
Mi sono cadute le braccia.
Poi le ho raccolte.
Ho scritto questo alla redazione, spero che qualcuno la legga.

I'm a registered user to Latimes and i find it a very interesting source of news for my job
I read the article "They Threw an Italian Disco Ball" and i found it a very superficial description of what was the real ceremony.
The comments made about the music revealed a very poor knowledge of italian culture.

Italian people usually don't go and listen Verdi or Puccini music into a stadium, but we listen that music at theatre.
Verdi's music was composed during Risorgimento, second part of XIX century, the phase of italian unification and usually it's played in more solemn moments than athletes' parade.

The music chosen to welcome athletes was easy music and was party music to transmit joy.
The athletes' parade, if one has seen it, is so joyful and so noisy too, so there's nothing more far from solemnity and classical music than that.

It's a moment in which young athletes are really making noise to present their country to the whole world, so what's Verdi or Puccini deal with it?

I found insulting for italian culture the sentence "worst Italian idea since spaghetti and tripe", it was a low level and unfair insult.

Here in Italy we are very careful not to confuse US flag or history with a Big Mac.

I'll go on reading your beautiful newspaper from Italy, but i think it's right to tell you when an article has really passed the line.

Stavo leggendo l'ultimo post di Todomodo
e mi era venuta voglia di commentare così ho iniziato a scrivere questo:

ho visto oggi pomeriggio su sky il film "outfoxed" che racconta di come il canale fox (u.s.a.) manipoli spudoratamente l'informazione sempre e solo a favore del partito repubblicano e di george w. bush.

Il film documentario fa ricorso ad esponenti di associazioni che si battono per il diritto ad un'informazione corretta in u.s.a. e alla partecipazione di ex giornalisti fox che raccontavano dettagliatamente con quale rigore scientifico si falsifichi la realtà, si fabbrichino false notizie per mettere in luce negativa gli avversari dei repubblicani e di chi si oppone alla politica u.s.a.

Penso che qualcosa di molto simile stia accadendo in questo periodo (ma solo in questo periodo???) nelle reti di sua emittenza e non solo.

L'unica cosa che mi ha stupito è che io l'ho visto su sky, di proprietà di rupert murdoch, e anche fox u.s.a. è di proprietà sua e rupert ne usciva piuttosto malconcio dal racconto in "outfoxed", e dalla denuncia sui poteri forti che si impadroniscono della politica.

Quello che mi ha fatto riflettere è stata la considerazione finale di uno dei giornalisti ex-fox secondo cui, se i telespetttatori u.s.a. non si svegliano ed iniziano a ribellarsi e a segnalare all'autorità competente la disinformazione (interessata) portata avanti dal canale, tra 50 anni saremo ancora qui a parlare dello strapotere di rupert murdoch III (terzo), che cavalcherà ed userà la presidenza di un qualunque george bush.

Ma qui in Italia ci sarebbe qualcuno disposto a raccogliere le nostre lamentele?
